Inside Apprentice Application

Applications: The Richmond Electricians' JATC inside wireman apprenticeship is for training construction electricians for the IBEW Local 666 and Atlantic Coast Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. In order to apply you must meet the following minimum qualifications: You must be 17 or older Have a high school diploma or GED Have a valid drivers license Application processing fee: $20 We take applications Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00am and 11:30am and 1:00pm and 3:00pm in our office at 11255 Air Park Road in Ashland, Virginia 23005-3436. Please bring your drivers license and a second form of identification (Social Security card or birth certificate is preferred). Next we will need a copy of your school transcripts. Once we have a completed application you will be given and aptitude test in reading comprehension and Algebra. The final step in the application process is an oral interview with our committee. If selected you will need to take a pre-employment drug test and placed to work with one of our contractors for on-the-job training. The starting pay is $13.74 per hour as of March1, 2009. The apprentice will also receive full family health coverage. The apprentice will start classroom training at 11255 Air Park Road in Ashland, Virginia 23005-3436 in the spring or fall semester. Our classes are held one day per week from 1 to 7 PM. The apprentice will receive periodic pay raises based on completed semesters of school and required work hours.
